I am a state licensed wildlife rehabilitator with the Louisiana Dept of Wildlife and Fisheries. I rehabilitate injured and orphaned wildlife. If you find wildlife in need of help please safely contain it if possible and then place it somewhere quiet and keep it warm. Do not allow children to play with the animal. Please keep domestic pets away. DO NOT FEED ANYTHING not even water until we speak. Please reach out for assistance as soon as possible. If it is a raccoon, skunk, fox, coyote or bat please wear gloves if you will have to handle them to contain them. Please do not try to raise the animal yourself. It's illegal in Louisiana and you risk being fined and having the animal euthanized if caught with illegal possession.
